                Ingredients

                • 1 pound powdered sugar
                • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, at room temperature

                Instructions

                1. Beat butter with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, then add half the sugar.
                2. Beat until that sugar disappears, then stop and add the rest.
                3. Beat until frosting is bright white and fluffy, like a cloud.
                4. Flavor with vanilla extract, jam, or unsweetened cocoa.
