Dump-and-Bake Sausage and Pepper Casserole
A simple casserole featuring Italian sausage, peppers, onions, and mozzarella cheese, baked to perfection.
Ingredients
- Italian sausage
- 3 bell peppers, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 jar of pasta sauce
- 1 tbs Italian seasoning
- 1 tbs garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Cut sausage into 1 inch round pieces and slice bell peppers and onions into 1/2 inch long pieces.
- In a large bowl, combine sausage, peppers, onions, pasta sauce, and seasonings. Mix well.
- Grease a 9x13 baking dish and dump in half of sausage and pepper mixture. Top with half of mozzarella cheese, then pour in remaining sausage and pepper mixture.
- Cover baking dish with foil and place in the oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and remove foil. Top with remaining cheese and place back in the oven for 10 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!
