Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef
Finding a recipe for tender beef in a slow cooker can feel impossible. But, alas! This recipe essentially melts in your mouth and has tons of flavor. Simply prep your meal in 10 minutes and let your slow cooker do the rest.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds flank steak
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 3/4 cup soy sauce
- 3/4 cup water
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup carrots, grated
- Green onions for garnish
- + Red Pepper
- + Ground Ginger
Instructions
- Cut the flank steak into thin strips.
- Add the thinly sliced flank steak pieces and cornstarch to a ziplock bag. Shake well to coat.
- Add olive oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, water, brown sugar, and carrots to the slow cooker. Stir the ingredients together.
- Add coated flank steak and stir again until everything is well coated in the sauce.
- Cook in the slow cooker for 2-3 hours on HIGH or 4-5 hours on LOW until cooked throughout and tender.
