Chocolate Hedgehog Slice

                A sweet treat combining chocolate, butter, sweetened condensed milk, and biscuits, topped with a layer of melted chocolate.

                Ingredients

                • 100g butter
                • 395g sweetened condensed milk
                • 150g dark chocolate
                • 250g plain sweet biscuits, crushed
                • 45g desiccated coconut
                • 65g walnuts, roughly chopped
                • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
                • For the topping:
                • 290g dark chocolate, extra
                • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or coconut oil, optional

                Instructions

                1. Grease and line an 18 x 28cm slice tin with baking paper and set aside.
                2. Place the butter, sweetened condensed milk and dark chocolate into a microwave-safe bowl. Heat on 50% power for 3-4 minutes or until melted. Stir well.
                3. Add the crushed biscuits, desiccated coconut, walnuts, and cocoa powder and mix together well.
                4. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared tin, pressing down firmly.
                5. Melt the extra dark chocolate melts and vegetable oil (or coconut oil) in a microwave-safe bowl on 50% power, 3-4 minutes (stirring every 30 seconds), or until just melted.
                6. Pour the melted chocolate over the top of the slice and refrigerate for a minimum of 3 hours.
